On October 3-4, the Kutaisi City Science Festival was held at Akaki Tsereteli State University. The festival aimed to promote science, research, and innovative activities to young people. The Confucius Classroom at Kutaisi University was invited to participate in this promotional event. At the scene, many young Georgian students stopped to ask about Chinese culture and Chinese language learning. Enrollment materials were distributed widely, and many students expressed interest in visiting the Confucius Classroom and enrolling in Chinese language courses on the spot, making the event crowded and the atmosphere warm.
The festival was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. Participants included Akaki Tsereteli State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University Vocational Education Center, Horizon Europe University Science Grant Office, Kutaisi International University, Kutaisi University, LEPL Georgian Agricultural College, Ilia State University, Institute of Zoology, Sip-Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center for Manuscripts, Kutaisi Museum of History and Architecture, Dimitri Nazarishvili Memorial Museum, Kutaisi State Historical Museum, Kutaisi Ilya Tchavchavadze Public Library, Ma-Architects Ltd. Public School, Kutaisi Public School No. 15, Zestaponi Public School, Anna Bassis Private School, School Thinkers Club and other institutions.
This promotional activity was also part of the series of promotional activities for the Confucius Classroom at Kutaisi University on the occasion of Confucius Institute Day 2024.
