The Confucius Institute at Bulacan State University (CI-BulSU) in the Philippines is located in Malolos, Bulacan. Established by Northwest University (NWU) and Bulacan State University (BSU), the CI-BulSU was initiated in September 2008 and officially inaugurated in February 2009. Since 2016, the Confucius Institute has expanded the coverage of its Chinese language teaching programs from the main Malolos campus to three other BSU campuses. CI-BulSU offers a variety of courses throughout the year, including basic Chinese language classes, intensive HSK and HSKK tutorial courses, and staff training programs. To foster friendly communication between the Chinese and Filipino people, deepen Filipinos' understanding of China, and strengthen CI-BulSU's role in local communities, the institute has organized numerous cultural activities. Many of these initiatives have grown into influential and well-recognized cultural events in the province of Bulacan.
